Alternatively, the lateral winding process involves rotating the steel pipe through an induction heating ring. Two extruders consistently apply molten adhesive and polyethylene film tapes around the heated steel pipe, either directly (2PE) or over an epoxy powder layer (3PE). This technique demands meticulous roller compaction to ensure complete adhesion, particularly at overlap sections and along weld sides, maintaining a uniform plastic layer thickness.7. Finalize with water cooling: After polyethylene application, rapidly cool the steel pipe to a temperature below 60°C. Upon the completion of the anti-corrosion coating application, it is essential to meticulously remove the polyethylene layer at the end of the pipe.
