Product Description Manufacturer Rust Converter Paint Rust Remover Spray CoatingProduct Description Description:Maydos Rust Conversion Primer is a weak acidic polymer composite product. It is mainly composed of high-quality specially modified acrylic acid emulsion as the main film-forming material, combined with a unique acid-based formula. It can quickly and thoroughly penetrate into corroded areas. It converts the iron oxide (rust) on steel surfaces into black organic iron compounds, thereby forming a composite film on the steel surface bonded by chemical and physical bonds. The film is firm, dense, and has strong adhesion, effectively protecting the steel substrate from further corrosion. This product is water-based and does not contain harmful substances such as benzene and formaldehyde. It does not generate volatile gases.Recommend to Use:It is suitable for anti-corrosion treatment of steel components that have already rusted. It is widely used in the manufacturing and maintenance of steel structures, tunnels, urban construction facilities, highway facilities, and railway facilities. Labor-saving, time-saving, high work efficiency, and low overall cost.How to useInstructions for UseSubstrate Preparation1.For surfaces with severe rust and loose rust, remove the loose rust before applying the paint.Use water jet, steel brush, electric brush, or other tools to removeloosely adhered rust and foreign substances from the metal surface.2.Oil-contaminated areas should be cleaned with degreaser.3.For smooth and firmly adhered old paint surfaces, roughen the surface before painting.Dilution MethodBefore use, thoroughly stir the original paint from top to bottom. If the viscosity is too high, add a suitable amount of water. The amount of water added should not exceed 10%. Add water while stirring to ensure uniformity of the paint. Do not over-dilute, as it may result in sagging, loss of gloss, poor drying, and insufficient coverage of the paint film.Application Conditions1.Do not apply in humid or cold weather conditions (temperature below 5°C or relative humidity above 85%), as it may not achieve the desired coating effect.2.Use in well-ventilated areas. If working in enclosed spaces, install ventilation devices and use appropriate protective equipment.3.Do not apply in rainy or snowy weather. Application Method1.Can be applied by brush, roller, or spray. Apply multiple thin coats, avoiding applying a thick coat at once to prevent cracking of the paint film. If conditions permit, airless spraying or brush application is recommended for better rust conversion effect.2.Depending on the degree of rust, apply 2-3 coats with an interval of at least 30 minutes between applications. Apply intermediate coats and topcoats after 24 hours.Recoating Time For high requirements and as an anti-corrosion coating, after applying one coat, wait for 30-60 minutes before applying another coat to achieve a uniform, dense, and glossy film for stronger corrosion resistance.Curing Time ≥7 days. In low-temperature environments (not below 5°C), the curing time should be appropriately extended to achieve the best paint film effect.Tool CleaningDuring and after painting, clean all application tools promptly with water. If the paint is unused, not overly diluted, and uncontaminated, it can be poured back into the original sealed container for storage. If there are dry skins affecting use, filter the paint through a 100-mesh sieve before use.Safety Precautions:1. Mixing with other coatings and organic solvents is strictly prohibited.2. This product is weakly acidic, so labor protection should be observed during use.3. Please carefully read the application instructions on the packaging before use to achieve reliable and satisfactory coating results.4. Before starting operations, open all doors and windows as much as possible to ensure sufficient ventilation in the work area.5. If the skin is allergic, please always wear protective equipment during use; In case of eye contamination, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical assistance.6. Do not allow children or pets to enter the construction area, and place the product out of reach; In case of contamination,immediately rinse with plenty of water and seek medical assistance;7. When the paint leaks, cover it with sand or soil and collect and dispose of it reasonably. Do not pour the paint into thesewer or drain pipe;8. Paint waste should be disposed of in accordance with local environmental standards (please refer to the product safety technical manual before use.
