Prior to the installation of the pressure reducing valve, it is crucial to ensure that the pipeline is thoroughly cleaned and that the gas is continuously purged. This process is vital to completely eliminate any impurities and particles, such as iron filings, that may have been generated during pipeline cutting.2. A filter must be strategically installed upstream of the pressure reducing valve. Failing to do so can cause system particles to damage the seat, leading to potential internal leakage of the regulator, a rise in downstream pressure, and damage to the outlet pressure gauge or other equipment. It is advisable to use a filter element with a precision of at least 20 microns.3. For NPT thread installation, refrain from using thread glue or liquid raw material tape, as improper application can result in liquid flow to the valve filter, causing blockages. This could lead to a loss of pressure at the valve port or a significantly reduced flow rate.4. While the system is in a flowing state, turning the handle clockwise will increase the outlet pressure, while turning it counterclockwise will decrease the outlet pressure. It's essential to remember that when reducing the outlet pressure to zero, the valve handle should be loose. Excessive counterclockwise turns might cause the threads to jam or make the handle loose, preventing further adjustments.5. It is not advisable to utilize the reducing valve as a globe valve over extended periods, as this may cause deformation of the seat, leading to an unstable flow rate.6. Exercise caution and handle with care to avoid any physical impact, particularly on reducing valves equipped with pressure gauges.
