The spiral grooves allows mud to circulate freely around the drill collar body thus relieving the pressure difference to reduce the occurrence of differential pressure sticking.As an important part of drill string, drill collar can supply the drill bit and increase the rigidity of drill string. Drill collar are manufactured strictly according to API Spec7-1 standard with material of AISI 4145H Mod. We supply slick drill collars, spiral drill collars, etc. The size of drill collar we can provide is from 3.1/8 to 11 inches. We can also provide other drill collars at customers' specific request.Drill Collars are one of the parts of a drills string. Drill for the Collars is meant to provide weight for drilling purposes. The Drill Collars are thick walled tube like pieces that are machined from solid steel bars, although they are often made from plain carbon steel or the non magnetic alloy of copper and steel or other premium alloys that are non magnetic in nature. Drill collar has bars of solid steel that are drilled from one end to the other to provide a passage for pumping the drilling fluids through the collar.Collars that are available for drilling have an external diameter that is made of steel and can be slightly machine perfected for making sure of the roundness. Drill Collars are sometimes perfected with the help of spiral Collars or helical shaped grooves. Drill threaded collar have connections that are male or one end and female on the other and. These are cut into a multiple collar that can be adjusted with screw along with other down hole tools. Drill helps make a bottom hole assembly or BHA. Spiraled drill collars have grooves on its external surface which maintains an even flow of drilling fluid around the collar to equalize pressure and reduce differential-sticking of the collar to the wall of the oilwell.Our drill collar connections comply with dimensional requirements specified in API Spec. 7/7-1 and guidelines presented in API RP7G. Drill collars also come with slip and elevator recesses for safe and efficient handling.
