The main function of a condenser in an industry is to condense a gas by conversion of its gaseous state into a liquid one. Condensation is a process that takes place through cooling. Which means regular alloys face severe loss of mechanical properties including toughness, ductility, and resistance to cracking, leading to an eventual decay by intergranular corrosion. Along with nickel, its heat resistance properties make the Incoloy 800 Seamless Tube a unique addition to industries like steam power plants or in chemical processing plants for example - distilleries, even if they are slightly more expensive than a welded type. Though the cost for an Incoloy 800 Welded Tube is relatively cheaper, the strength and pressure bearing capacity of a seamless type is much higher.
