The hydraulic drive mechanism utilizes a reciprocating ram, and the worktable utilizes a hydraulic feed mechanism. The ram maintains the same speed throughout each stroke, while the speeds of the ram and worktable are continuously adjustable. The hydraulically controlled worktable features a ram reversing oil circuit reversing mechanism. In addition to hydraulic and manual feed, a single motor also drives rapid vertical, transverse, and rotary motion. Hydraulically fed slotting machines offer instantaneous feed upon turning the workpiece over, making them superior to mechanical slotting machines with drum feed. This machine is designed for interpolating flat surfaces, forming surfaces, keyways, and other surfaces.
