Product Description LH1500 Online Gas Leakage Analyzer (hereinafter LH1500) is specially designed instrument to precisely detect the gas leakage. It is widely used in such areas as electric power, steel, petroleum, chemical, shipping, tunnel, etc. to perform online leakage detection of gases( for example, flammable gases like hydrogen, methane). The instrument takes advantage of world leading sensing technology, which can monitor the area simultaneously with multi points in real time. The system consists of one host machine and 8 gas sensitive transmitters, and is flexible control. Structure featuresLH1500 use the split-type design which separates the host machine and the transmitters. The host is placed in the safety zone and the transmitters are placed in dangerous zone where may accrue gas leakage. The protection class reaches IP54. The 8-18 transmitter channel can be arbitrary choice. The host machine consists of signal acquisition, signal conversion, display unit and cabinet, which are easy to install. Working principle  The signal from the gas sensitive transmitters is converted into digital signal by the high precision A/D converter and displayed on the industrial true color LCD after processed by the embedded CPU. Through the converter and the corresponding circuit, it can realize output of (4~20) mA analog signal, also output of RS485 digital signal . It should leave more than 0.5m space around the transmitter for easy operation and maintenance. First, install the fixed plate of the transmitter on the bus, the installation hole opening size is 4×Φ8.5, and then weld the stainless steel gas tube in the middle fixed hole, the middle fixed hole isΦ14. It should leave more than 0.5m space around the transmitter for easy operation and maintenance.The scope of supply for C Type transmitter (a single set): one LH1500-C transmitter, one fixed plate for transmitter C.The installation of Type E transmitter    Figure 5.14 Installation diagram of Type E transmitter Open a hole on the water return pipe in the field which is not less than Φ20,and weld the pipe to the hole. The depth of the welding pipe inserted into the water return pipe is as short as possible.Connect the material showed in the figure 5.14 and turn off the needle valve before operating; Open the needle valve slowly and observe the flow rate of the outlet, adjust the flow rate to 30 mL/min; Use the G1/4 screw thread on the mounting seat joint of the transmitter to connect the the drainage pipe to the drain tank in the field.  Mounting GD6102 gas flow purity analyzer transmitterMode of connectionLH1500 online gas leakage analyzer is connected to GD6102 gas flow purity analyzer transmitter via RS485 digital signal. Select the appropriate height position to mount the transmitter. It must ensure that the water in the cooler does not enter the transmitter. It is recommended to weld approximately 2 m long pipe (DN15) vertically, weld the movable joint on the pipe and install the valve, connect another end of the movable joint to the transmitter by the screw thread. The outlet of the transmitter is connected to the manual stop valve which is normally closed. The specific installation dimension is shown below. Figure 5.16 Transmitter dimension diagram    Figure 5.17 Movable joint dimension diagrams Figure 5.18 Transmitter mounting diagram    Figure 5.19 Welding diagram Attention of Installation: Mount the transmitter vertically (The direction of air intake is perpendicular to the horizontal plane);The vertical distance between the transmitter installation location and the top of the stator cool water tank is not less than 2m;Reserve 0.5m space around the transmitter for maintenance.The scope of supply for GD6102 transmitter (a single set): one GD6102 transmitter, one stop valve DN15.Use and operation methodBoot interfaceTurn on the power switch and enter into the boot interface, software version info section, and system initializing, the instrument will enter into the measurement menu automatically after 5 seconds.Figure 6.1 Boot interfaceHere Vx.xx indicates the software version and yyyy-mm-dd is the date of the software version. MeasurementSelect "Measurement " in the main menu to enter the measurement display" interface, which displays as figure 6.2. Figure 6.2 Measurement display interfaceWith this measuring interface, 8 gas detection transmitter input channels of the instrument can be measured in real time, including gas, measured value, alarm status, daily maximum concentration value and maximum time.1) Interface instructionThe measurement interface consists of two parts: title display, channel display.Title Display: It can display the real-time measured data, gas type and the maximum value of the day from a particular channel in a larger font. Each channel is rotated every 5 seconds. Convenient for users to observe from a distanceChannel Display: it can display simultaneously the real-time measurement and status information of the 8 channels.Among them: the channel number, gas type and concentration value of the measurement channel are displayed as "--", indicating that the channel is not enabling state. Channels 4, 6, 7 and 8 are shown in the Figure 6.2.The Concentration displays "----" which shows the channel is disconnection, see Channel 1,5 in Figure 6.2The Concentration displays in red which shows that the channel is in H alarm condition. See Channel 3 in Figure 6.2  Main menu    Press  in measurement menu to enter the main menu. The user can select the function options .The main menu shows as Figure 6.3.Figure 6.3 Main menu1) Keys instruction:Press     to switch the main function menu;Press     to select the submenu under the main function menu.Press  to enter the selected interface when the selected option is green.Data queryUnder the main menu, select the data query menu, you can enter the data query interface. The historical alarm time and peak measurement data of each gas measurement channel are counted in hours.    SettingFigure 6.4 data query Setting includes the "Channel setting" and "System setting" sub-menu. Channel SettingSelect "Channel Setting" in setting menu to enter the interface.    Figure 6.5 channel settingIn channel setting, the user can select the channel and set the gas type which includes three modes: 1: none, 2: (4~20) mA, 3: RS485.Select (4~20) mA to display as below. Figure 6.6 channel settingIn this interface, the user can configure the upper and lower limit of the range which response to output (4~20) mA analogue signal. The upper alarm limit is set to the high alarm of the channel. After setting, select "Save" to save Settings.RS485 is connected to the transmitter of GD6102 gas flow analyzer, which is shown as follows.    Figure 6.7 Channel settingIn this interface, the user can configure the upper and lower limit of the range which response to output (4~20) mA analogue signal. The upper alarm limit is set to the high alarm of the channel, the H alarm value should be set within measurement range. Input the number of gas flow analyzer transmitter. After setting, select "Save" to save the configuration.If selected the GD6102 gas flow purity analyzer transmitter can measure the flow, it will display as below. Figure 6.8 Channel settingIn this interface, the user can configure the upper and lower limit of the range which response to output (4~20) mA analogue signal. The upper alarm limit is set to the high alarm of the channel, the H alarm value should be set within measurement range, and the equipment number is the number of gas flow analyzer transmitter, Reset interval is the time interval for cleaning up the accumulated gas volume. After the setting, select "Save" to save the configuration.System SettingIn System menu, the user can setup the time which show as below.      Advanced menuFigure 6.9 System Setting Select advanced menu in main menu to enter the advanced display interface. The advanced menu function is to test whether the current output and alarm output of the instrument are normal.      Current output testFigure 6.10 Advanced menu In this menu, the user can test the current output:First select the channel, you can choose a single channel or all channels Setup the current value within the range of (4~16) mA;Use ammeter to test the current output value. If there is no current output, need maintenance. Relay output testIn this menu, the user can test the relay output:First select the channel, you can choose a single channel or all channels Setup the relay status, off or closed;Use the multimeter to test whether the relay output is off or closed. If the status is incorrect, need maintenance.About menuIn main menu, the user select About menu to enter the About display interface. It Displays the product name, factory serial number, software version and hardware version and so on. Figure 6.11    About interfaceNotes:Factory serial number: xxxxxx indicates the serial number of the instrument. Software version: Vx.xx xxxxxxxx is for the software version of the instrument. Hardware version:xxxx xxxxxxxx is for the hardware version of the instrument.Key operation instructions:Press     to page turning ;Press    to switch the About interface and the main menu. CalibrationSummary:The calibration of LH1500 Online Gas Leakage Analyzer is mainly refers to the transmitters. It has been calibrated at the factory according to standard application conditions. Required Equipments and MaterialsZero Point Gas:Clean air Linear Gas:(1.50~2.50)% Hydrogen of standard gas(the background gas is air)Note: The calibration accuracy depends on the quality of zero point gas and standard gas as well as the accuracy of output current by the standard power supply. Calibration methods    Calibration methods are the same for each transmitter. See Figure 6.12 for the appearance dimension of the transmitter.Figure 6.12 Transmitter appearance dimensionBefore the transmitter calibration,the front cover of the transmitter should be taken off first, please turn it in anti-clockwise rotation, a circuit board will be found inside after screwing the cover slowly. The adjustable potentiometer is on the circuit board, the potentiometer zero mark as ZERO, and the potentiometer span mark as SPAN. The calibration method is as follows.Zero point calibration:Put the sensor side of the transmitter into the zero point gas (usually clean air). After the indication of the host machine gets stable, adjust the current to 0% with potentiometer ZERO (low in clockwise and high in anti-clockwise) if the reading is not 0%.Linear calibration : Input the linear standard gas to the inlet of the transmitter (recommendedstandard gas is (1.50~2.50)% Hydrogen and the background gas is air) and adjust the flow rate to (200~300) mL/min. After the host machine gets stable, if the display value does not accord with the standard gas, adjust the potentiometer SPAN (turn clockwise and counterclockwise) until the display value is consistent with the standard gas value. Follow the same operation to calibrate the other transmitters.When calibration completed, properly install the cover with the transmitter.Note:Make sure the correct wire connection otherwise the transmitter might be damaged. When calibration is performed in the field, do avoid of generating explosive gas mixture.Notes: Please contact the manufacturer or supplier for calibrating GD6102 gas flow purity analyzer transmitter.Calibration CycleUser calibration cycle: In the field, user can check the measurement accuracy with reference standards when the instrument is running. The calibration cycle of LH1500 online Gas leakage analyzer is 12 months. When the measured gas humidity is higher or the concentration of Hydrogen is higher, shorten the calibration cycle accordingly.
