It is usually a white waxy solid, non-toxic, odorless, transparent in appearance and light in texture. Its chemical formula is (C3H6)n, with a density of 0.89 to 0.92 g/cm 3, making it the thermoplastic resin with the lowest density. The melting point is 164 to 176 ℃, and it softens around 155℃. The operating temperature range is -30 to 140 ℃.
