Product DescriptionProduct Description Intake Valve High-Performance ModelIntake valves and exhaust valves stand as two of the most critical components in internal combustion engines, each fulfilling a distinct yet interconnected role that directly impacts power output, fuel efficiency, and long-term reliability. Starting with the intake valve, its primary function is to regulate the flow of air-fuel mixture (in gasoline engines) or pure air (in diesel engines) into the engine's combustion chambers. This process is timing-sensitive—intake valves open precisely as the piston moves downward during the intake stroke, allowing the optimal volume of mixture/air to enter, and close tightly as the piston rises to seal the chamber for compression. The design and specifications of intake valves are engineered to maximize airflow while maintaining a secure seal: for instance, the high-strength titanium alloy used in premium intake valves (such as the 32mm diameter model noted earlier) balances two key needs: lightweight construction to reduce valve train inertia (which enables faster opening/closing speeds for higher engine RPMs) and exceptional durability to withstand repeated mechanical stress. With an applicable temperature range of -40℃ to 650℃, these valves perform reliably in extreme cold (preventing material brittleness) and moderate heat (avoiding warping), while their metal-to-metal hard seal ensures no leakage during compression—a critical factor in avoiding pressure loss that would otherwise reduce combustion efficiency. A service life of 80,000 operating hours further underscores their robustness, making them suitable for heavy-duty applications like commercial trucks, industrial generators, and high-performance vehicles where consistent intake flow is non-negotiable. Exhaust valves, by contrast, are tasked with expelling the high-temperature, high-pressure exhaust gases produced after combustion—a role that exposes them to far harsher conditions than intake valves. This is why exhaust valves are constructed from heat-resistant nickel-chromium alloy, a material capable of withstanding temperatures up to 950℃ (significantly higher than the 650℃ limit of intake valves) without deforming or losing structural integrity.
