Filled in the ladle bottom nozzle, it enables automatic molten steel flow during continuous casting. When steel is poured into the ladle, the sand forms a sintered layer on the surface. Upon opening the slide gate, the unsintered sand falls by gravity, and the steel's hydrostatic pressure breaks the sintered layer, initiating smooth casting without manual intervention. This enhances self-opening rate, ensuring production efficiency and reducing risks. It also prevents nozzle blockage by resisting steel and slag erosion, protecting the slide gate and extending ladle life. Moreover, it avoids steel contamination from oxygen-blowing for manual opening, maintaining steel cleanliness and quality.
