It is a non-contact continuous measurement method, not prone to wear, and the sensor output signal is RS485 digital quantity. Generally speaking, the weir flow meter is fixed in rivers or canals. When water flows through the weir dam, it causes water level changes, and the device records these changes and time. Then, by processing these data, the water flow can be calculated. This method is mainly realized by measuring water level differences, with two flow measurement methods: the static water level method and the dynamic water level method. The static water level method refers to installing a water level meter respectively upstream and downstream of the weir, and calculating water flow by measuring the height difference between the two water levels. This method is suitable for situations with small water flow and slow water level changes, with high accuracy.
