It is mainly composed of two parts, the plate tube bundle and the shell (pictured). The contact points of the cold-formed pair of slats are tightly welded together to form a plate tube containing multiple flat runners.The plate and shell heat exchanger is a structural form between the shell and tube heat exchanger and the plate heat exchanger, which takes into account the advantages of both:Using the plate as the heat transfer surface, the heat transfer efficiency is good. The heat transfer coefficient is about twice that of the shell-and-tube heat exchanger.Compact structure and small size.Temperature and pressure resistance, the maximum working temperature can reach 800oC, and the maximum working pressure can reach 6.3 MPa.The fluid in the flat flow channel flows at high speed, and the plate surface is smooth, not easy to scale, the plate bundle can be removed, and the cleaning is also convenient. However, the manufacturing process of this kind of heat exchanger is more complicated than that of the shell-and-tube heat exchanger, the welding volume is large and the requirements are high, so its popularization and application are limited to a certain extent.
