Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger The gasketed plate heat exchanger from Shanghai Empire Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd. is a highly efficient and compact equipment designed for optimal heat transfer. It consists of a pack of corrugated metal plates with portholes for the passage of fluids between which heat transfer occurs.The plate pack is assembled between a fixed frame plate and a movable pressure plate, which are compressed by tightening bolts. The plates are fitted with a gasket that seals the interpolate channel and directs the fluids into alternate channels. The number of plates is determined by factors such as flow rate, physical properties of the fluids, pressure drop, and temperature program.The corrugations on the plates promote fluid turbulence and provide support against differential pressure.
