The main standards are BT, SK, BBT, HSK and several other specifications of spindle models.BT, SK, is a simple, popular standard for spindle shank connections, mainly BT30, BT40, BT50, SK30. etc. The mold industry, and high-speed engraving machine, used more, HSK type belongs to, the late high-speed need to be born.HSK type is the late high speed needed to be born. HSK-E type, F type, can be in the case of thirty to forty thousand revolutions, normal processing, for high precision workpiece, provides a guarantee. Japanese standard, BIG shank is better, European system REGO-FIX AG is better.BT toolholders with 7/24 taper have been used on machining centers to achieve the connection between the tool and the machine spindle. The standard 7/24 taper coupling has many advantages, such as: fast tool loading and unloading; the taper of the toolholder is tightly in contact with the inner taper of the spindle under the action of the axial tension of the drawbar, and the solid taper supports the tool directly in the tapered hole of the spindle, which can reduce the overhang of the tool; only one size needs to be machined to a high accuracy, so it is less costly and reliable. However, with the development of high-speed cutting, the tool has to be cut at a much higher speed than before, and the connection performance of BT toolholder has the following main deficiencies, Figure 3 is the working diagram of BT tool system during high-speed machining:(1) The spindle and toolholder can not achieve simultaneous positioning with the spindle end face and inner taper surface, resulting in low connection stiffness, especially at high rotational speed, due to the role of centrifugal for, the spindle taper hole expansion of the large end is greater than the small end expansion, making the contact area of the toolholder and spindle reduced, the radial stiffness of the tool system, positioning accuracy decreased.(2) Under high speed rotation (especially after the speed exceeds 8000rpm), the difference between the outward expansion of the toolholder and the expansion of the spindle hole under the action of centrifugal force is obvious, and the difference in the expansion of the hole part is greater than the end of the toolholder, under the action of the drawbar, the toolholder moves backward leading to a change in axial position, which affects the machining accuracy and tool stability cutting conditions. And after the spindle stops, the toolholder and spindle radial elasticity returns, which easily makes the toolholder stuck in the spindle and difficult to disassemble.(3) The expansion of the spindle will also cause the deviation of the tool and clamping mechanism center of mass, thus affecting the dynamic balance of the spindle.(4) The toolholder is a solid long tapered shank structure, so the mass is large, and when applied on the machining center, the tool change speed is slow, resulting in longer non-machining time.
