First, the calcium carbide method is a commonly used process that mainly relies on raw materials such as calcium carbide, coal and raw salt. On the other hand, the acetylene method uses petroleum as the main raw material. In the international market, the acetylene method is the mainstream method for PVC production. However, in China, due to the limitation of resource endowment - rich coal, poor oil and little gas, the calcium carbide method has become the main production process.Overview of PVC production basesThe production base of PVC is an important part of industrial production. These bases not only carry the task of converting raw materials into PVC products, but also embody the combination of production efficiency and environmental protection concepts. By understanding the overview of PVC production bases, we can have a deeper understanding of the actual operation of PVC production and the current status of industry development.Four polymerization methods of PVCThe production of PVC resin mainly relies on four polymerization methods: suspension polymerization, bulk polymerization, emulsion polymerization and solution polymerization. Among them, suspension polymerization is the most commonly used method, accounting for about 80%; bulk polymerization accounts for about 10%; and emulsion polymerization accounts for more than 10%, but the specific figures may vary depending on the region and process.
