Utilizing centrifugal force, particulate matter with a diameter greater than 10 μm is flung against the tower wall and settles down to the bottom sump under the action of gravity.Gas-Liquid Mixing: The spraying system at the top of the tower sprays absorbent liquid (such as alkaline solution or water) downward, which comes into countercurrent contact with the rising airflow. The droplets capture fine particles through inertial collision while simultaneously dissolving soluble pollutants (such as SO2 and HCl).Advanced Purification: Some cyclone towers employ a multi-layer cyclone plate or packing layer design to extend the gas-liquid contact time. For instance, acidic gases react with alkaline solution through neutralization to form harmless salts, achieving chemical purification. A mist eliminator at the top of the tower (such as a baffle plate or wire mesh) removes water droplets to prevent secondary pollution.
