These parts are subjected to extremely low temperatures using liquid nitrogen, causing them to freeze rapidly. The frozen parts are then tumbled in a barrel while being blasted with polycarbonate media, effectively removing any burrs or flashes.Due to having a much thinner surface area compared to their mass, burrs and flashes freeze quickly and become brittle. The subsequent tumbling action, combined with the impact of the polycarbonate media, efficiently removes the burrs without causing any damage to the part itself.Once the process is complete, parts return to room temperature with a pristine finish. Cryogenic deburring ensures a clean part, free from dust or other residues, and achieves 100% burr removal.Cryogenic deburring and deflashing are perfect for applications involving die-cast metal parts, complex rubber components, precision elastomeric parts, medical devices, and microelectronic parts.
