Product Description Product DescriptionCopper-Aluminum Transition Equipment Clamps When equipment clamps are connected to electrical equipment (such as transformers, circuit breakers, transformers, disconnectors, wall bushing, etc.), since many equipment outlet terminals are copper plates, and aluminum equipment clamps are connected to copper terminals, there is an electrical transition of two metals with different potential differences at the outlet, resulting in electrochemical corrosion during operation. To avoid electrochemical corrosion, the current measures adopted include copper plating on aluminum, tin plating on copper, crimping method, flash welding, friction welding, brazing, and copper-clad aluminum plates, etc. From the operation experience, flash welding and friction welding are relatively good, but still consume a lot of copper; brazing and copper cladding can be applied in dry climate areas. Both of the latter two methods have been appraised and have good operation experience. Standardized copper-aluminum transition clamps are manufactured using flash welding, friction welding and brazing processes. The flash welding process has been included in the national standard, and friction welding has long been widely used in the manufacturing of connection terminals for conductors below 240mm2. Equipment clamps with a current-carrying capacity of less than 1000A are brazed. Copper-clad aluminum plates can be promoted for use when the current-carrying capacity is less than 500A. This material can save a large amount of copper, and the consumption of copper is only 1/5 to 1/8 of that of flash welding.
