Product Description Product DescriptionIntroductionCP (Commercially Pure) Grade 2 Pipe is the most frequently employed unalloyed titanium grade. It provides moderate strength (typical yield strength 352 MPa) combined with good ductility and formability and excellent weldability. Grade 2 titanium Pipe has a density of 4.51 g/cc - less than 60% that of steel.Commercially Pure Titanium Pipe Grade 2 is slightly stronger than Grade 1 but equally corrosion resistant against most applications. This unalloyed titanium has the best strength to weight ratio of any corrosion resistant material. This grade is one of the most common Titanium Pipe Grades and is used for Heat exchangers, condenser tubing and bleaching plants in paper industry, offshore oil installation water pipe lines. Can be used for parts requiring strength up to 400 ° F and oxidation resistance to 600 ° F.CompositionTitaniumIronOxygenCarbonNitrogenHydrogenBalance0.30 max0.25 max0.10 max0.03 max0.015 maxGrade SpecificationGradeUNSDINENASTMAMSTitanium Grade 2UNS R50400 3.7025ASTM F67ASTM B265 GR2AMS 4902Grade 2 Titanium Pipe Physical PropertiesTitanium Pipe grade 2 bars have a density of 4.51 g/cm3, about 60% of the density of steel. This makes ASTM B348 UNS R50400 Pipe an ideal material for lightweight applications. It also has a melting point of 1660°C and a boiling point of 3260°C, which means it can withstand high temperatures. DIN 3.7035 Pipes has a shiny metallic appearance and is non-magnetic, which makes Alloy Pipe Grade 2 useful in certain electronic and medical applications.Density: 0.163 lbs/in3, 4.51 g/cm3Mean Coefficient of Thermal Expansion, in/inl° F (mm/ml° C):70 - 212 ° F (20 - 100 ° C): 4.78 x 10-6 (8.6)Thermal Conductivity: BTU-in/h-ft-° F (W/m-° K):At 70 ° F (21 ° C): 114 (16.4)Modulus of Elasticity, ksi (MPa)2 x 103 (105 x 103) in tensionMelting Point: 3040 ° F (1670 ° C) Mechanical Properties of Grade 2 Titanium Pipe at Room TemperatureProperties Annealed:Ultimate Tensile Strength: 50 KSI min (345 MPa min)Yield Strength (0.2% offset): 40 - 65 KSI (276 - 448 MPa )Elongation: 20% min Finishes#1 - Hot rolled annealed and descaled. It is available in strip, foil and ribbon. It is used for applications where a smooth decorative finish is not required.#2D - Dull finish produced by cold rolling, annealing and descaling. Used for deep drawn parts and those parts that need to retain lubricants in the forming process.#2B - Smooth finish produced by cold rolling, annealing and descaling. A light cold rolling pass is added after anneal with polished rolls giving it a brighter finish than 2D.#BA - Bright annealed cold rolled and bright annealed#CBA - Course bright annealed cold rolled matte finish and bright anneal#2 - Cold Rolled#2BA- Smooth finish produced by cold rolling and bright annealing. A light pass using highly polished rolls produces a glossy finish. A 2BA finish may be used for lightly formed applications where a glossy finish is desired in the formed part.Polished - Various grit finish for specific polish finished requirements. After receiving implants made of Titanium Pipe Grade 2, patients can not only quickly restore their body functions, but also avoid the risk of rejection and secondary surgery, greatly improving the medical effect and the quality of life of patients. In addition, Titanium Grade 2 Pipe is also widely used in other aspects of the medical field due to its high strength, light weight and corrosion resistance, such as the manufacture of medical devices. In summary, Titanium Pipe Grade 2 has irreplaceable value in the medical field and has made important contributions to the rehabilitation of patients and the improvement of their quality of life.
