The injection molding process is ideal for making highly complex shapes and thin-walled parts. The most common thermoplastic adhesives are PA12 (Nylon 12), PA6 (Nylon 6), and PPS, with maximum operating temperatures of 120, 150, and 180 degrees, respectively. Injection-molded magnets are valued for their excellent dimensional accuracy and mechanical strength. Magnetic materials can be inserted injection molded directly within or against existing components to produce assemblies. Injection-molded magnets are dimensionally conformable to mold cavities that are precision machined, and the finished product typically does not require further finishing operations.
