This versatile material primarily comes in two forms: the economical brass rod, an alloy of copper and zinc, and the high-copper-content purple copper rod. The brass rod, known for its distinctive yellow hue, boasts a copper content of 56% to 68% and a melting point between 934°C to 967°C. Thanks to its excellent mechanical properties and wear resistance, brass is ideal for precision instruments, ship components, gun shells, and more. Varying zinc levels result in different hues: 18%-20% zinc gives a red-yellow color, while 20%-30% zinc imparts a brownish-yellow tone.
