You put the product which you are going to sterilize in the retort basket and out the basket into the water in the retort sterilizer. Water in the retort sterilizer can be pumped by a pump, also, if you want to save some cost on this retort sterilizer, this water pump can be deleted from the whole set of machine. Manual water inlet is also ok for this small vertical retort.
