Silicon steel sheets are a special type of steel with excellent magnetic permeability. These silicon steel sheets are insulated from each other. The purpose of doing this is to reduce eddy current losses. Eddy current loss is the energy loss caused by the induction of eddy currents in the iron core by an alternating magnetic field.- Stator winding : The stator winding is the key part of the motor that generates the magnetic field. It is a coil wound with insulated wires. In AC motors, the stator windings usually adopt three-phase windings. When three-phase alternating current is fed into the stator winding, a rotating magnetic field is generated.3. FunctionThe main function of the stator is to generate a rotating magnetic field. In an electric motor, the rotating magnetic field generated when alternating current is passed through the stator winding interacts with the rotor, thereby driving the rotor to rotate. DefinitionThe rotor is the rotating part in the motor. It, together with the stator, constitutes the core components of the motor. During the operation of a motor, the rotor rotates under the influence of the magnetic field generated by the stator, or in a generator, the rotation of the rotor generates a magnetic field.2. Composition- Rotor core : The rotor core is also composed of silicon steel sheets stacked together. Its structure is similar to that of the stator core, mainly to reduce eddy current losses. However, the shape and size of the rotor core will vary depending on the type and application of the motor.- Rotor winding : The type of rotor winding varies depending on the type of motor. In squirrel-cage asynchronous motors, the rotor windings are composed of copper or aluminum bars embedded in the rotor slots. The two ends of these bars are short-circuited through end rings, forming a short-circuited cage structure. This structure is simple and sturdy and durable. In a wound-rotor asynchronous motor, the rotor winding is a three-phase winding and is connected to the external circuit through brushes and slip rings. This structure enables the rotor winding to be connected to external resistors, thereby adjusting the resistance of the rotor and altering the starting performance and speed regulation performance of the motor.3.
